Westcountry Rivers Trust

I had the pleasure of filming an inspiring open day hosted by Devon Wildlife Trust, where staff came together to explore how the charity is tackling the challenges of climate change.

The day offered a behind-the-scenes look at several of the Trust’s ongoing projects - from habitat restoration and nature-based flood management to the creation of more climate-resilient landscapes across Devon. It was clear from the day that adaptation isn’t just about responding to a changing climate, it’s about restoring natural systems so wildlife and people can thrive together.

I captured conversations with passionate experts, glimpses of innovative restoration work, and the enthusiasm of everyone who were keen to understand and share how local action can make a global difference. There’s something powerful about watching communities connect with nature and seeing how much thought and care goes into protecting it.

Devon Wildlife Trust is showing what practical, local climate action looks like and what the local communities need to do to adapt to climate change.
