Alice Hickson Freediver
I recently had the opportunity to film Alice, an incredible national record freediver. Alice explains why she loves freediving and what it means to her. Once she’s underwater, everything changes. The noise of the world disappears, and she moves with this quiet ease. Through the camera, it almost looked like she belonged down there, part of the ocean itself. My goal was to capture that feeling: the balance between power and peace that freediving seems to hold. It was a reminde

Super League triathlon
I worked as an in-water cameraman for Super League triathlon races all over the world, filming athletes as they competed in the swim portion. This role gave me a front-row seat to some of the most intense and demanding moments in professional triathlon, allowing me to capture the athleticism and sheer determination of each triathlete. Being in the water meant getting up close to the action, capturing the intensity, focus, and determination of each triathlete. I also spent tim

North Devon Property
I regularly work with multiple estate agents across North Devon, capturing properties in a way that truly highlights their unique features. This particular property had real character and had been thoughtfully decorated by an interior designer, making it stand out from the typical listings. In cases like this, a professional film is essential, as it allows potential buyers to fully experience the space and appreciate the attention to detail. While photographs can capture a ro

Motoiva car valet
We recently had the pleasure of filming a supercar valet company led by Ollie based in Swindon, producing him a film and photographs for their website and social media. Every moment showcased his passion and professionalism. Ollie was thrilled with the final video and photographs, saying it perfectly reflected his brand and attention to detail. We’re excited to be heading back soon for another shoot in a second location. Ollie said "Working with Outland Films was effortless.

Emma Gibbons contemporary artist
I had the pleasure of filming Emma Gibbons, a contemporary artist whose work is as bold and unique as she is. Emma creates stunning pieces using pill capsules, each one carefully hand-filled with colour, glitter, and resin to form vibrant artwork. Her art is more than just something to hang on your house - it means a lot to her and her customers, to some it resembles getting over addiction. Emma’s warmth and energy comes across in the work she does. Watching her bring her ide

Tonga Humpback Whales
Earlier this year, I got the opportunity to travel to Tonga to film Cat Sharks, who runs intimate tours that let people swim with humpback whales. Cat has lived and worked around these giants for years and her knowledge was second to none. From the first day, it was clear this wasn’t a typical wildlife shoot. Cat has great respect and knowledge on the whales. She reads their moods, waits for them to come closer, and makes sure her guests understand that they’re visitors in th

VW Tayron photography
We spent the day out shooting the new VW Tayron for their social media, capturing the car on film and through photographs. We took the car to the beautiful North Devon coastline to get some epic shots on the drone. We were capturing the lifestyle the car brings. Beautiful coastal roads, fresh air, and the freedom to just go. We even filmed a surfer hopping in and out of the car, board in tow, perfectly showing that this isn’t just about driving - it’s about adventure, spontan

Property photography
I filmed and photographed this property for a local estate agent. This house had plenty of character and two seperate buildings so needed professional film and photography. Professional photography matters for estate agents because great photos are often the difference between a buyer scrolling past a listing… and stopping to take a proper look. Most people start their search online, and their first impression comes from the images. If the photos look bright, inviting, and we

Seal Photography
I had the chance to film and photograph the seals off the coast of North Devon, at Lundy Island. People often refer to the seals as the “dogs of the sea,” and it’s so true. They came straight up to us, swimming around and even nudging our fins, making sure I took photos of their good sides... They would roll, dive, twist, and turn in the water, sometimes popping up above the water to spot where we were. Being in the water with them was so much fun. There’s something incredibl

Kitchen showroom photography
I have filmed and photographed LaVitas work multiple times now, working closely with them over the last few years. Professional photography matters so much for businesses and showrooms. It gives people a feel of what their home could be like. For LaVita, film and photography lets their craftsmanship speak for itself. You can see the quality, the design choices, the personality of the showroom - all the things that make someone think, “Yes, this is the kind of kitchen I want.”

Golf course photography
I was asked to photograph a Golf Course using the drone. Taking drone photos of the golf course gives them a fresh, eye-catching way to show off their property online. Aerial shots capture the full layout and scenery - something regular ground photos can’t do. These images make the website look more professional, help attract new golfers and events, and are great for marketing and social media. They can also be used for hole-by-hole previews or course maps, giving players a b

Construction photography
I collaborated with a construction company over a six-month period as they undertook the development of a new dairy farm in Hartland, North Devon. During this time, I produced a series of six progress films and photographs, each documenting key stages of the construction process and highlighting the ongoing work and achievements on site. The final film and photographs were showcased at a company event, serving both as a celebration of the team’s hard work and as a visual reco

Barbados swimming horses
Every morning in Barbados, just after the sun comes up, race horses are led down to the beach for a swim to prepare for the days training. Swimming for the horses is non weight bearing and great exercise. The horses seem to love it; their whole bodies relax as they paddle around. There’s this wonderful connection between the people and the animals that’s easy to feel and easy to capture. It’s just a simple, beautiful part of the island’s morning routine.

Surf photography
There’s something special about watching such talented people do what they love in one of the most beautiful places in the country. Whether it’s Croyde, Saunton, or Woolacombe, there will always be incredible surfers to film and photograph. We are spoilt for choice living here and having access to some of the best surf in the country.

Property developer photographs
I have worked alongside a property development company to create multiple films and photographs of their sites. Photos are great to showcase a house and film lets people experience a property. They can see how the rooms flow, imagine themselves walking through, and get a real sense of what it’s like to live there. And in a spot like Minehead, video and high quality photographs make all the difference. It’s the best way to show not just the home, but the lifestyle that comes

Kitchen Showroom
I have filmed and photographed LaVitas showroom and work multiple times now, working closely with them over the last few years. Through film, you notice things you’d never catch in a single photo - the warmth of the lighting, the way a cabinet door closes, the textures and details in each bit of carpentry. That’s really why video matters so much for businesses and showrooms. It gives people a chance to experience a place, not just look at it. Anyone can scroll past a picture,

Westcountry Rivers Trust
I had the pleasure of filming an inspiring open day hosted by Devon Wildlife Trust , where staff came together to explore how the charity is tackling the challenges of climate change. The day offered a behind-the-scenes look at several of the Trust’s ongoing projects - from habitat restoration and nature-based flood management to the creation of more climate-resilient landscapes across Devon. It was clear from the day that adaptation isn’t just about responding to a changing
