Elise & Matt spent several days filming a seaweed farm off the North Devon coast, making multiple trips with the team to document its progress over time.
Each visit brought something new, as we worked from vessels of varying sizes, navigating the challenges of filming in, on and above the water while capturing the progress of the farm.
Matt took on the drone shots, demonstrating incredible skill flying from moving boats to get dynamic aerial shots of the coastline and the farm itself. At the same time, Elise focused on handheld filming and photography, capturing close-up details of the seaweed, the harvesting process, and the people behind the operation. Elise also got some in water shots of the start of the seaweed growing.
Together they worked to tell the story from every angle, showing both the sweeping scale of the seaweed farm and the raw hands-on work that goes into maintaining it. The owners work long and physical hours, from 4am-10pm a lot of days.
Elise then created them multiple films to use on their website, social media and photographs including headshots, progress and in action shots.
